Entry #1. - - - All About Steve.

Hello all! Since this is my first entry, I'll introduce myself and the purpose of my blog.

My name is Sarah and I'm a junior at Kean University. I'm majoring in Elementary & Special Education K-5 with an english content area. I'm from Linden, NJ and enjoy the seasons of spring and summer more than any others. I prefer warm weather where i can wear flip flops, have my sunroof open and tan at any chance I get! I enjoy relaxing and spending time with friends. I love to have fun, smile, and laugh. When I'm not at school or work, I'm usually home relaxing, spending time with my boyfriend and/or friends and family, on my laptop, sleeping, or watching movies.

I don't know anyone who doesn't enjoy watching movies. I'm wouldn't consider myself a movie fanatic, but I am a big fan. I usually only watch a movie once, unless it's REALLY good, or if its been a while since I've last seen it. For my blog, I'm going to be watching movies that I have never seen, once a week, whether they are newly in theaters, or rented from Blockbuster, and then I'll post a blog about my expectations and my personal opinion of the movie. There are a lot of new movies coming to theaters that I want to see, hopefully I'll be able to!

So I'll start. . .

For Christmas, I got a movie that supposedly I said I wanted to see, but I don't recall being very interested in it. Since I had it, I decided I would watch it and see how it was. The name of it is "All About Steve," starring Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper, and I'm still trying to figure out how such great actors were a part of this dumb movie.

It's about a unique woman, Mary(Sandra Bullock), who creates crosswords for the newspaper and is loaded with useless facts. She's known for her bright pink boots and for being somewhat of a crazy person. Her parents set her up on a blind date with Steve (Bradley Cooper), who is a camera man for a news station and goes on the road with the reporter and a technician guy who tells them when to go on, etc etc. Mary thought the date went well, when Steve bails on the date before even leaving her street. He goes on to making up an excuse that he has to go to Boston for a news story and that he wishes she could be there but wouldn't want to take her away from her job. She immediately falls in love with Steve and creates a crossword based around Steve which results in her losing her job. Once that happened, She went on the road to find Steve and be with him, much like a crazy stalker.

I don't want to tell the whole movie but that's how it starts out. The beginning was actually pretty good and had some funny moments, but as it progressed, it got so silly. It would begin to get good again, but not long after, something dumb would happen. I cannot stand stupid humor and silly things happening in movies that are supposed to be funny, but are nowhere near humorous. I expected more from a Sandra Bullock movie, I hope I don't ever have to sit through "All About Steve" ever again!
